It’s been a long long year with shifting sands and date changes and lots and lots of antigen testing! As always, our extraordinary audiences have sustained and inspired us.
2021 was a busy year of touring with I Am Baba touring all over Ireland for 9 weeks in co-production with The Civic and in partnership with the national network of CYPSC (Children & Young People’s Services Committees), with Groove, Shimmer and My Smile Has Fallen Down touring nationally to theatres, arts centres, schools, libraries and community centres in collaboration with The Network For Extraordinary Audiences, all in co-production with The Civic and funded by Arts Council of Ireland.
In total, 2021 saw more than 25 weeks of live touring and upwards of 300 shows to thousands of babies, early years and children/young people with complex needs and their adults.
Thanks to Arts Grant Funding from the Arts Council of Ireland, 2022 is another packed programme for our extraordinary audiences with three brand new shows – babyGROOVE for our tiniest audience members in March/April, Still Here for audiences aged 3-6 years in May/June and Sweet Dreams Are Made of This for children with profound needs in September/October. All three shows will tour to venues, schools and community settings in collaboration with The Network For Extraordinary Audiences with Belltable/Lime Tree in Limerick coming on board as the 8th venue for 2022.
In addition, BabyLovesMusic will be out and about in summer 2022 and we are currently finalising plans for I Am Baba to tour internationally in June 2022…
